On March 9, 2023 I was invited to sit down with my good friend Oliver Fade to discuss my experience with PTSD while living in South Chicago. As hard as these conversations may be, they are necessary to understand the dynamic circumstances that individuals experience living in urban inner city communities. I, like thousands of other people, have a unique story that was grounded in violence and chaos. Opening up about a life that seems like forever ago can be triggering (and has) but the ability to speak on this life I experienced has been a great part in my healing.
