This collaboration brings together two passionate artists who are determined to use their music as a platform for social change. XOCHI, hailing from the south side, embodies resilience and grit. Growing up amidst the towering steel mill stacks, she witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of industrial decline on her family and community. With the mills now closed, many families, including her own, have faced the harsh realities of job loss and poverty, compounded by environmental neglect. "(Never) 2 Hot" is not just a song; it's a call to action. The track combines infectious melodies with poignant lyrics, creating a unique sound that is both danceable and deeply resonant.
